We are part of the Reed family of companies, the UK's leading recruitment, HR services and training providers, specialising in programmes designed to break down the barriers to employment.

Reed was founded on May 7th 1960 when Alec Reed, then at the age of 26, opened his first branch in Hounslow with just £75 to start with.

Since then, the Reed group has been a great innovator. In the 1990's, it grew to became the UK's first high street recruitment agency and was one of the first recruitment companies to move online. Now reed.co.uk is the UK's leading job site, attracting more than two million jobseekers every month.

Reed was the first company in the UK to offer specialist recruitment with the creation of Reed Accountancy. Today, with over 350 offices and more than 3,000 co-members, our international expertise spans 30 specialism's including: Banking, Education, HR & Hospitality.

The Reed Foundation

Alec Reed, founder of the Reed Group, set up the Reed Charity Foundation which supports hundreds of charities in the UK and abroad. Reed Foundation, which owns 18% of the company, aids charitable causes promoting education and the relief of poverty, sickness and suffering.
