Crussh's story

With rapid growth to Crussh's business came the realisation that
they needed to create opportunities for staff to develop through
improved skills provision. At this point Reed in Partnership
started working with Crussh through our Train to Gain contract in
London.
In meeting with Reed in Partnership's Train to Gain broker, the
main issue identified was the training of Assistant and Branch
Managers, most of whom had risen to their positions internally. The
opportunities offered through Train to Gain would allow these
employees to gain formal management skils. It was hoped that the
changed behaviour within Management would cascade down through the
company to make company processes more efficient.
Managers were offered the chance to study for a NVQ Level 3 in
Management, provided by BMR.
By understanding Crussh's needs, the Train to Gain broker
identified the right training provider and assisted with the plan
for informing Assistant/Branch Managers about the new
training and how it linked into their future strategy.
The training received a positive response from employees and senior
management.
Since the training, Crussh has continued to grow - it is
currently working with Reed in Partnership to secure training
for six new members of the management team. Sylvie Parcot, HR
Manager at Crussh said:
"We've employed many people from Reed in
Partnership's programmes. Their support in helping us find the
right staff and supporting them once they've entered employment has
been invaluable. The link to the Train to Gain service has been
vital in helping us develop our employees and plan for our future
growth."
