You've got the job, now what?

Making Work Work for you
Starting a new job can feel daunting; ensuring you are adequately prepared for this new start is our job. Having fears about working is an entirely natural process which most people go through so the first rule to remember is:  you're not alone.

Preparing to start your new job
•You should receive a contract/letter from your employer we have specialist advice to assist you in understanding this information.
•Your first day is important, make sure you know where you are going, how to get there and who you are meeting at your new workplace.
•Induction can take place in different ways depending on the company for example, you may have 3 weeks solid training OR shadow someone for a day or two.

Starting your new job
•Get to know the people in your team and the person you report to.
•Find out the Health and Safety procedures
•Talk to your Manager about the possibility of you having a 'buddy' or 'mentor'
•Investigate where your HR/Personnel department is located as they deal with your paperwork and pay and other HR related issues
