Celebrating ERSA Employability Day 2026
26 Jun 2026
Today we join colleagues across our sector in celebrating the Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) Employability Day 2026.
Employability Day shines a spotlight on the life-changing work taking place across the country to help people overcome barriers, access opportunity and realise their potential.
This year, alongside delivering high-quality employment support through programmes including the DWP's Restart Scheme, we have been actively contributing to the national conversation about how we improve outcomes for young people. Through our paper, 'A three-lane superhighway into work', we have engaged with MPs from across the country to share practical ideas for tackling the challenge of more than one million young people who are NEET.
We have also been pleased to contribute to Alan Milburn’s review into young people and work, helping to ensure that the focus remains firmly on solutions. We are very pleased to be putting some of our ideas for young people into action through the delivery of the Jobs Guarantee in Hertfordshire and Essex, supporting them to access meaningful employment opportunities and gain the skills and experience they need to succeed.
The challenge is significant, but so too is the opportunity. Every young person deserves a clear route into work, whether through university, apprenticeships or direct entry into employment. Through personalised employment support, stronger pathways into work and closer partnership between government, employers and providers, we can help more young people realise their potential and build the workforce our economy needs.
On Employability Day, we celebrate the commitment and expertise of colleagues across our sector who make that mission a reality every day.
