Supporting young people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
4 Sep 2025
Young people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough can receive our support to find their next step through the Youth Guarantee Trailblazer service that we are pleased to be delivering on behalf of the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA).
Reed in Partnership has been a trusted provider of services for CPCA residents since 2016, and we are proud to be delivering this new service designed to support local young people aged 18 to 21 who are not in employment, education or training (NEET).
The Trailblazers are pilot programmes that form part of the government's Youth Guarantee which aims to ensure every young person in England has access to apprenticeships, quality training and job opportunities. The aim of this service is to empower young people with the knowledge and ability to choose their next step through dedicated specialist support.
Young people using this service benefit from the guidance of our expert local teams in Peterborough, Fenland and Huntingdonshire, including:
- Eight weeks of free, structured support
- Dedicated one-to-one mentoring to build confidence, motivation and an understanding of their options for next steps
- Direct access to apprenticeships, quality training and job opportunities in the local area
- Job application help and interview practice
- Exclusive access to our online careers centre

“We are delighted to be delivering the Youth Guarantee Trailblazer service in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. We have a strong track record in the region and are excited about continuing to work closely with the Combined Authority. This is essential provision and forms a key part of the government’s Get Britain Working reforms.
“It’s vital that more young people not in employment, education or training are given the support necessary to enable them to make the right next choice for their future. The Trailblazer will play a crucial role in informing future government policy in this space - what happens in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough today can shape a positive future for all of the country’s young people.”
